Couplinn

Content Moderation Policy

Effective Date: 22 September 2026

1. Purpose and Scope This Policy establishes standards for all member-posted content on Couplinn, including profile photographs, profile text, and private messages. It applies to everyone accessing the service from any location and forms part of the Terms of Service, read together with the Privacy Policy. The policy is publicly accessible without registration or payment. While Couplinn operates these systems in good faith and applies them consistently, no moderation system detects everything, and nothing here is a warranty that prohibited content will always be identified.

2. Definitions Content: any photograph, image, text, link, or other material a member uploads, publishes, or transmits on the service. Profile content: photographs, display name, biography, and any other field shown on a member's public profile. Private message: a message sent by one member directly to another and not visible to other members. Pre-moderation: review of content before it becomes visible to anyone other than its author. Report: a notification from a member, a third party, or an authority that content or conduct may breach this Policy or the law. Moderator: a person authorised by Couplinn to review content and apply enforcement measures. Enforcement action: any measure from warning to permanent account removal.

3. Age and Eligibility Couplinn serves adults aged 18 or over only. Where a jurisdiction sets a higher age of majority, that age applies instead. All registrants must confirm their date of birth at sign-up. Accounts failing this check are not created. Couplinn removes any account believed to belong to someone under 18 or created on behalf of a minor, based on reports, moderator review of photographs, member statements, or other sources. Content that depicts, describes, or sexualises a minor is prohibited absolutely and is handled under section 9 rather than under the ordinary enforcement ladder.

4. Prohibited Content and Conduct The following is not permitted anywhere on Couplinn, including private messages:

Minors and child sexual abuse material: any sexualised depiction or description of a person under 18, content soliciting contact with a minor, and any image of a minor used in a profile. Non-consensual and intimate imagery: intimate images shared without consent, images obtained by hidden recording, and threats to distribute such images. Sexually explicit material: photographs showing genitalia, exposed female nipples, sexual acts, or masturbation; graphically sexual profile text; unsolicited sexual imagery in private messages. Commercial sexual services: advertising, soliciting, or arranging prostitution, escort services, sugar arrangements framed as paid companionship, or transactions where sexual contact is exchanged for money or goods. Violence and self-harm: threats of violence, glorification of violence, graphic injury or death, terrorist or extremist material, and content promoting suicide, self-injury, or eating disorders. Hate and harassment: attacks on persons or groups based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, caste, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or serious illness; sustained unwanted contact, stalking, doxxing, sexual harassment, and abuse directed at members who declined contact. Fraud and deception: romance scams, requests for money, gift cards, or cryptocurrency; investment or trading pitches; fake or stolen photographs; misrepresented age or identity; and accounts operated by automated scripts. Impersonation: presenting oneself as another real person, a public figure, or a Couplinn representative. Spam and off-platform commerce: advertising, recruitment, links to paid content platforms, links to other dating or webcam services, referral schemes, and bulk or repetitive messaging. Regulated and illegal goods: sale or promotion of drugs, prescription medicines, weapons, ammunition, stolen goods, counterfeit items, or human trafficking in any form. Third-party personal data: publishing another person's phone number, home address, financial details, identity documents, or private messages without consent. Security and integrity abuse: malware, phishing links, attempts to circumvent moderation or a ban, sale or transfer of accounts, and automated scraping of member data. Other unlawful content: anything infringing copyright or trade marks, breaching a court order, or otherwise illegal in the member's jurisdiction or Couplinn's.

5. How We Moderate Couplinn combines pre-publication photograph review, automated screening, and human review of reported material.

Photographs are pre-moderated: every profile image is held and reviewed before becoming visible to other members. Breaching images are rejected, and members are notified. Until review completes, images are visible only to the uploader. Profile text is screened automatically: display names, biographies, and other profile fields pass through automated filters that detect contact details, solicitation, prohibited terms, and known scam patterns. Matches are blocked or held for moderator review based on the signal. Private messages are not routinely read: conversations are not monitored as standard practice. Automated filters may act on messages to block links, malware, and known scam or spam patterns. Moderators review private messages when reported by recipients, flagged by systems, or required by law. Accounts are screened at registration: new registrations pass through checks for duplicate, automated, or previously removed accounts. Members have their own controls: any member can block another member, ending contact in both directions, and can report a profile or message at any time. Couplinn aims to review reports and uploads in an order and priority warranting the risk. Material concerning minors or immediate safety risk is prioritised above all other queues. We do not commit to a fixed turnaround time, and review times vary with volume and complexity.

6. Reporting Content Anyone can report content on Couplinn, whether or not they hold an account. Members use the Report control on a profile, photograph, or message; the item reaches the moderation queue with attachments. Non-members and anyone reporting on behalf of another person write to info@couplinn.com. Reports are most useful when they name the profile, describe what is wrong, and say where the content appears. Couplinn treats reporter identity as confidential and does not disclose it to the reported member, except where required by law or court order. Reporting does not expose reporters to the reported member. Members may block another member at any time, with or without a report. Blocking is immediate, ends contact in both directions, and needs no explanation. Reports made in bad faith — to harass a member, remove a rival, or repeatedly without substance — are themselves a breach of this Policy and are actioned under section 7.

7. Review and Enforcement A moderator assesses reported content against this Policy and selects a proportionate measure, weighing severity of the breach, whether content was public or private, harm caused or risked, and member history.

Measure When it typically applies Content rejected or The item breaches section 4; the account stands. removed Warning A first or minor breach where removal alone is sufficient. Feature restriction Repeat breaches; messaging, uploads, or visibility are limited for a period. Profile hidden from Conduct making a member unsafe to surface to others while search assessing a matter. Suspension A serious breach or a matter under investigation. Permanent Severe breaches, repeated breaches after warning, or any breach of termination section 3 or the first two categories of section 4. Severe breaches skip the ladder. Content involving minors, non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats of violence, trafficking, or fraud lead to immediate termination on a first instance. Terminated members may not open new accounts. Accounts identified as circumventing termination are removed without further notice. Termination for a Policy breach does not entitle members to refunds of subscriptions or purchases, except where law or our Refund Policy requires it. Fees for services already delivered are not returned. Members are notified of enforcement actions against their accounts with the breach category identified. Detail about breach detection is not always disclosed if it would help others evade detection or identify a reporter.

8. Appeals A member who believes a decision was wrong may appeal once. Appeals go to info@couplinn.com from the registered email address and should state what was removed or restricted and why the member considers the decision mistaken. Appeals are accepted within 30 days of the decision. An appeal is reviewed by someone who did not make the original decision, wherever staffing allows. Outcomes may uphold the decision, reduce the measure, or reverse it and restore content or account. Members are told the outcome. The decision on appeal is final. We may decline to consider a further appeal on the same facts. We do not accept appeals against terminations for content involving minors, non- consensual intimate imagery, or credible threats of violence. Nothing in this section limits any right members have to complain to a regulator or bring a claim in a competent court.

9. Illegal Content and Law Enforcement Suspected illegal content leaves the ordinary moderation queue and is escalated to a designated staff member on the day it is identified. When apparent child sexual abuse material is identified, Couplinn removes it, terminates the account, preserves the material and associated records in a restricted system, and reports to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF), and any other required authority. Such material is not forwarded to reporters or other parties. When non-consensual intimate imagery, credible threats of violence, or indications of trafficking or coercion are identified, content is removed, the account is terminated, and the matter is reported to relevant authorities where law requires it or the risk warrants it. Content and records relevant to suspected criminal offences are preserved for as long as necessary to respond to investigations, even after account removal. Couplinn responds to lawful requests from courts, regulators, and law enforcement. Member data is disclosed only where the request is valid and properly served, and only to the extent required, in line with the Privacy Policy. Law-enforcement requests go to info@couplinn.com.

10. Records, Training and Governance Moderation decisions are logged, covering what was reported or reviewed, the decision, the moderator, and the date. Records are retained for as long as the account exists and for a period afterwards, in line with the Privacy Policy and applicable retention obligations, so that repeat conduct can be identified and decisions audited. Moderators receive written guidance on applying this Policy before reviewing content, and updated guidance when the Policy or underlying law changes. Guidance covers prohibited categories, escalation procedures, and reporter-confidentiality handling. Couplinn reviews this Policy periodically and when material changes occur in the service, in content categories encountered, or in applicable law.

11. Contact and Changes All correspondence about this Policy — reports, appeals, law-enforcement and legal requests, general enquiries — goes to info@couplinn.com . Couplinn may amend this Policy. The published version is current; the effective date at the top shows the last change. Material changes are notified to members by email or in- service message before taking effect. Continued service use after the effective date means the amended Policy applies.
